Currant production fell 25.3% to 1,090 tonnes in Denmark in 2021, according to Faostat.
Historically, currant production in Denmark reached an all time high of 13,687 tonnes in 2013 and an all time low of 1,090 tonnes in 2021. When compared to Denmark's main peers, currant production in Germany amounted to 13,770 tonnes, 7,500 tonnes in Netherlands, 533 tonnes in Norway and 300 tonnes in Sweden in 2021.
Denmark has been ranked 18th within the group of 37 countries we follow in terms of currant production, 14 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
