Historically, cucumber and gherkin production in Cyprus reached an all time high of 18.5 kt in 1999 and an all time low of 3.56 kt in 1961. When compared to Cyprus's main peers, cucumber and gherkin production in Egypt amounted to 433 kt, 156 kt in Greece, 92.5 kt in Israel and 1,890 kt in Turkey in 2021.
