Coal consumption as a share of worldwide consumption rose 13.5% to < 0.001% in Georgia in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, coal consumption as a share of worldwide consumption in Georgia reached an all time high of < 0.001% in 1992 and an all time low of < 0.001% in 2004. When compared to Georgia's main peers, coal consumption as a share of worldwide consumption in Armenia amounted to < 0.001%, < 0.001% in Azerbaijan, 0.027% in Russia and 0.012% in Turkey in 2015.
