Cigarette consumption per capita fell 2.59% to 1,007 per year in Denmark in 2016, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, cigarette consumption per capita in Denmark reached an all time high of 1,615 per year in 2004 and an all time low of 264 per year in 1921. When compared to Denmark's main peers, cigarette consumption per capita in Germany amounted to 941 per year, 588 per year in Netherlands, 329 per year in Norway and 551 per year in Sweden in 2016.
