Cattle meat consumption per capita rose 28.1% to 1.96 kg in Lesotho in 2020, according to Faostat.

Historically, cattle meat consumption per capita in Lesotho reached an all time high of 7.69 kg in 2016 and an all time low of 1.53 kg in 2019. When compared to Lesotho's main peers, cattle meat consumption per capita in Botswana amounted to 10.2 kg, 17.2 kg in South Africa, 16.1 kg in Swaziland and 42.3 kg in Zimbabwe in 2020.
