Historically, cattle meat consumption per capita in Turkey reached an all time high of 16.0 kg in 2020 and an all time low of 2.70 kg in 1978. When compared to Turkey's main peers, cattle meat consumption per capita in Bulgaria amounted to 3.45 kg, 14.5 kg in Greece, 3.08 kg in Iraq and 7.55 kg in Iran in 2020.
