Thanks to the fast growth in retail loans and deposits on the back of mBank's retail expansion, BRE Group's revenue structure changed dramatically in the last decade. Interest income increased from only 35% of total revenues in 2001 to 63% in 2012.
This is a result of both, the volume growth as well as re-pricing of the bank's balance sheet. Bank's net interest margin has expanded by 50% in between 2001-2012, or by 75 bp, from 1.47% in 2001 to 2.22% in 2012
