Banks operated with average cost to income of 34.2% in the last quarter as operating costs rose 5.20% yoy and revenues increased by 25.7% yoy. That's compared to an average cost to income of 38.9% seen in the last three years and 40.1% recorded in the last decade.
Hypotecni Banka was the most cost efficient based on the cost to income ratio in the third quarter of 2022 and it also operated with the lowest operating costs when compared to a sum of loans and deposits, i.e. when utilization of both assets as well as liabilities is taken into account.
