Bank tier 1 ratio rose 31.8% to 12.8% in Cameroon in 2020, according to the National Central Bank.

Historically, bank tier 1 ratio in Cameroon reached an all time high of 12.8% in 2020 and an all time low of 5.30% in 2011. When compared to Cameroon's main peers, bank tier 1 ratio in Central African Republic amounted to 23.3%, 2.94% in Chad, 17.3% in Gabon and 14.1% in Nigeria in 2020.

Cameroon has been ranked 99th within the group of 117 countries we follow in terms of bank tier 1 ratio, 10 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
