Historically, bank loans as a share of GDP in Swaziland reached an all time high of 26.6% in 2015 and an all time low of 15.5% in 2010. When compared to Swaziland's main peers, bank loans as a share of GDP in Botswana amounted to 34.0%, 17.4% in Lesotho, 56.6% in Mozambique and 77.3% in South Africa in 2015.
