Historically, bank loans growth in USD terms in Costa Rica reached an all time high of 15.7% in 2012 and an all time low of 2.83% in 2009. When compared to Costa Rica's main peers, bank loans growth in USD terms in Guatemala amounted to 7.58%, 10.3% in Honduras, 9.88% in Nicaragua and 1.29% in Panama in 2017.
