Historically, nominal bank loans growth in Nicaragua reached an all time high of 28.9% in 2012 and an all time low of 14.7% in 2017. When compared to Nicaragua's main peers, nominal bank loans growth in Costa Rica amounted to 8.02%, 7.85% in El Salvador, 9.90% in Honduras and 9.06% in Mexico in 2017.
