Bank Liquid Assets (As % of Short-Term Liabilities) rose 7.18% yoy to 52.9% in Cyprus in 2Q2024

Bank liquid assets as a share of short-term liabilities rose 7.18% yoy to 52.9% in Cyprus in 2Q2024, according to the National Central Bank. This is 5.00% more than in the previous quarter.

Historically, bank liquid assets as a share of short-term liabilities in Cyprus reached an all time high of 63.9% in 2Q2009 and an all time low of 17.0% in 3Q2016.

Cyprus has been ranked 25th within the group of 75 countries we follow in terms of bank liquid assets as a share of short-term liabilities, 81 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
