Bank Liquid Assets (As % of Short-Term Liabilities) rose 4.48% yoy to 104% in Pakistan in 2Q2024

Bank liquid assets as a share of short-term liabilities rose 4.48% yoy to 104% in Pakistan in 2Q2024, according to the National Central Bank. This is 1.32% more than in the previous quarter.

Historically, bank liquid assets as a share of short-term liabilities in Pakistan reached an all time high of 105% in 3Q2023 and an all time low of 36.8% in 4Q2008.

Pakistan has been ranked 7th within the group of 60 countries we follow in terms of bank liquid assets as a share of short-term liabilities, 19 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
