Bank liquid assets as a share of short-term liabilities fell 26.1% yoy to 26.6% in Montenegro in 1Q2024, according to the National Central Bank. This is 17.4% less than in the previous quarter.
Historically, bank liquid assets as a share of short-term liabilities in Montenegro reached an all time high of 97.9% in 3Q2015 and an all time low of 21.3% in 1Q2009.
Montenegro has been ranked 72nd within the group of 84 countries we follow in terms of bank liquid assets as a share of short-term liabilities, 13 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
