Bank liquid assets as a share of short-term liabilities fell 0.651% yoy to 35.0% in Latvia in 2Q2024, according to the National Central Bank. This is 8.12% less than in the previous quarter.
Historically, bank liquid assets as a share of short-term liabilities in Latvia reached an all time high of 65.6% in 4Q2011 and an all time low of 33.4% in 3Q2018.
Latvia has been ranked 38th within the group of 60 countries we follow in terms of bank liquid assets as a share of short-term liabilities, 30 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
