Bank equity as a share of bank assets rose 8.71% yoy to 8.35% in Chile in 2Q2024, according to the National Central Bank. This is 9.55% more than in the previous quarter.
Historically, bank equity as a share of bank assets in Chile reached an all time high of 8.59% in 1Q2003 and an all time low of 6.40% in 3Q2021. When compared to Chile's main peers, bank equity as a share of bank assets in Argentina amounted to 22.2%, 7.18% in Bolivia, 8.95% in Paraguay and 10.0% in Uruguay in 2Q2024.
