Bank Equity (As % of Bank Assets) fell 3.98% yoy to 5.68% in Ghana in 2Q2024

Bank equity as a share of bank assets fell 3.98% yoy to 5.68% in Ghana in 2Q2024, according to the National Central Bank. This is 12.5% less than in the previous quarter.

Historically, bank equity as a share of bank assets in Ghana reached an all time high of 13.0% in 1Q2010 and an all time low of 5.23% in 4Q2023.

Ghana has been ranked 55th within the group of 62 countries we follow in terms of bank equity as a share of bank assets, 11 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
