Bank Equity (As % of Bank Assets) fell 12.5% yoy to 6.72% in Turkey in 2Q2024

Bank equity as a share of bank assets fell 12.5% yoy to 6.72% in Turkey in 2Q2024, according to the National Central Bank. This is 3.31% less than in the previous quarter.

Historically, bank equity as a share of bank assets in Turkey reached an all time high of 15.1% in 1Q2005 and an all time low of 6.72% in 2Q2024.

Turkey has been ranked 50th within the group of 62 countries we follow in terms of bank equity as a share of bank assets, 22 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
