Bank deposits as a share of GDP rose 23.3% to 27.6% in Swaziland in 2015, according to the National Central Bank.

Historically, bank deposits as a share of GDP in Swaziland reached an all time high of 27.6% in 2015 and an all time low of 16.2% in 2005. When compared to Swaziland's main peers, bank deposits as a share of GDP in Botswana amounted to 40.7%, 28.4% in Lesotho, 52.0% in Mozambique and 77.5% in South Africa in 2015.

Swaziland has been ranked 114th within the group of 137 countries we follow in terms of bank deposits as a share of GDP, 20 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
