Bank deposits as a share of GDP rose 44.1% to 24.7% in Sierra Leone in 2015, according to the National Central Bank.

Historically, bank deposits as a share of GDP in Sierra Leone reached an all time high of 24.7% in 2015 and an all time low of 10.6% in 2005. When compared to Sierra Leone's main peers, bank deposits as a share of GDP in Burkina Faso amounted to 39.8%, 19.5% in Guinea, 30.7% in Liberia and 31.4% in Mali in 2015.
