Bank deposits as a share of GDP rose 11.6% to 21.1% in Equatorial Guinea in 2015, according to the National Central Bank.

Historically, bank deposits as a share of GDP in Equatorial Guinea reached an all time high of 21.1% in 2015 and an all time low of 6.78% in 2006. When compared to Equatorial Guinea's main peers, bank deposits as a share of GDP in Cameroon amounted to 17.5%, 32.5% in Congo, 23.1% in Gabon and 18.3% in Nigeria in 2015.
