Bank deposits as a share of GDP fell 4.95% to 252% in Libya in 2015, according to the National Central Bank.
Historically, bank deposits as a share of GDP in Libya reached an all time high of 265% in 2014 and an all time low of 20.7% in 2005. When compared to Libya's main peers, bank deposits as a share of GDP in Algeria amounted to 49.5%, 10.6% in Chad, 79.2% in Egypt and 64.1% in Tunisia in 2015.
