Historically, bank deposits in Uruguay reached an all time high of UYU 1,335 bil in 2020 and an all time low of UYU 491 bil in 2012. When compared to Uruguay's main peers, bank deposits in Argentina amounted to ARS 6,522 bil, BRL 5,135 bil in Brazil, CLP 163,919 bil in Chile and PYG 113,986 bil in Paraguay in 2020.
