Historically, bank assets in Japan reached an all time high of USD 11,470 bil in 2011 and an all time low of USD 28.3 bil in 1961. When compared to Japan's main peers, bank assets in China amounted to USD 39,929 bil, USD 1,351 bil in Russia, USD 2,298 bil in South Korea and USD 17,631 bil in USA in 2017.
