Romanian banking sector accepted retail deposits of RON 178 bil in 2017, up 9.10% when compared to the last year.
Banca Commerciala Romana accounted for 17.6% of all retail deposits taken by banks in Romania at the end of 2017. Historically, the bank’s market share in retail deposits reached an all time high of 49.7% in 2002 and an all time low of 17.6% in 2017.
That's compared to a 16.6% market share the bank held in terms of total assets at the end of 2017.
