Historically, avocado production in Guyana reached an all time high of 9,213 tonnes in 2019 and an all time low of 73.0 tonnes in 2012. When compared to Guyana's main peers, avocado production in Brazil amounted to 300,894 tonnes, 100 tonnes in Suriname, 54.7 tonnes in Trinidad and Tobago and 131,531 tonnes in Venezuela in 2021.
