Average asset yield was 3.26% in 2016, down from 3.48% when compared to previous year. On the other hand, cost of funding amounted to 0.664% in 2016, down from 0.977%.
Comparing Alpha Bank Romania with its closest peers, Banca Commerciala Romana operated in 2016 with a net interest margin of 2.75% in 2016, BRD Groupe Societe Generale reached 3.11% and Raiffeisen Bank Romania some 3.42%.
