Historically, the bank’s net interest margin reached an all time high of 5.01% in 3Q2008 and an all time low of 1.37% in 2Q2021. The average margin in the last six quarters amounted to 2.16%.
Average asset yield was 6.19% in 4Q2023, up from 5.75% when compared to the same period last year. On the other hand, cost of funding amounted to 4.49% in 4Q2023, up from 3.99%.
When compared to bank's main peers, CSOB operated in the fourth quarter of 2023 with a net interest margin of 1.51% and Komercni Banka reached 1.66%.
