Metrobank's capital adequacy ratio reached 17.5% at the end of fourth quarter of 2019, down from 17.6% when compared to the previous quarter. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 32.1% in 1Q2014 and an all time low of 13.4% in 4Q2008.

The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 16.2% at the end of fourth quarter of 2019, up from 14.6% compared to the same period of last year and down from 16.3% when compared to the the previous quarter.

Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 86.5% at the end of 4Q2019, down from 89.4% when compared to the same period of last year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 56.5%.
