Foreign debt rose 20.6% to USD 38,995 bil in Uzbekistan in 2021, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, foreign debt in Uzbekistan reached an all time high of USD 38,995 bil in 2021 and an all time low of USD 59.7 bil in 1992. When compared to Uzbekistan's main peers, foreign debt in Kazakhstan amounted to USD 159,755 bil, USD 9,064 bil in Kyrgyzstan, USD 7,046 bil in Tajikistan and USD 4,851 bil in Turkmenistan in 2021.
